[It's raining outside today, but for once Nonon doesn't seem to mind; she's still in the utter sinkhole that is Violet City, but for the time being, her morale is good. Her money ran out quite some time ago, and she'd been okay with sleeping outside (it was going to take more than that to get her down properly) until that freak snowstorm last week felt the need to hit; seeing as she'd never worked a day in her life (not a proper job, not something that wasn't school and training) the idea of doing that was something almost completely foreign to her, but eventually she'd caved and applied somewhere and gotten hired.

And in the time since, she's discovered the surprisingly unsarcastic utter joy in the equation that is "make muffins = get money."

Sure, she's probably never going to get the flour out of her hair again and half the time she somehow ends up with glaze on her face, but she's found a bakery and they were hiring and she's stronger than she looks, and there's something really satisfying about being able to do things with her hands and see the results, and generally she's doing really well. Singing a bit while she does it, even, and making use of her Ambipom's entirely too many hands to hold trays for her while she works.

Life is actually surprisingly good today.]

This place is actually pretty mundane, for somewhere that has a bunch of magical fire-spitting animals at their disposal. It took a lot of considering it, but I don't think I can really complain about that, though. It's sort of nice to know that even in a place that has something like that, people aren't using them to burn each other's faces off.

(Usually, anyway, I've heard there are a few whackjobs that do that.)

How many of you are from somewhere like this? Where there's not much going on, I mean, and you can just kind of exist.

And if you're from somewhere that's not like this and there's stuff going on all the time, what's it like for you to be living here now? Is it boring for you, or is it sort of a relief?

It was chaotic as hell where I'm from. The peace and quiet here was a nice difference at first, but after a couple years it really wears on a guy, y'know? I'm bored outta my mind more often than not.

Hell, once in a while I'm tempted to just punch some random guy in the teeth to see if I can start a fight for a change of pace.

You wouldn't think it, but my kingdom was pretty quiet for a while, too! I mean, it was kind of small and private for a while, since the gates were closed off for a really long time. After they opened, things started to get pretty lively, though! It was so refreshing to finally see everyone able to enjoy themselves and whatnot, so I do think it's a shame that I barely got to appreciate that before I came here. But it was still very peaceful, even after the gates opened!

Arendelle hasn't had any sort of war or strife in quite some time. An isolated incident where it started snowing in July was pretty much the worst of it, but hey, all's well that ends well!

I really like this place, though! I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my sister and all, but I mean, it's actually very pleasant.

If it was so peaceful, what happened to make people close off the entire kingdom? Was it due to one of those wars you've mentioned, or were you just being Switzerland in some sort of outside conflict or what?

Well, I didn't know this at the time, since I was so young. But my sister, the future queen at the time (she's queen for real now), was born with these ice powers...and when my parents found out, they decided to close the palace off until she could learn to control them completely, so that her powers could be kept secret. If anyone found out about them, whether they be actually in the kingdom or from a neighboring one or what, there was the chance that it could've went badly, you know? People might have gotten scared, as they tend to do when they don't get something...

Well, we didn't have any magical animals, that's for sure. It was more active than this, though.

But I'll agree that sometimes boring is good. After enough gets thrown at you, it's kind of nice to be bored once in a while.

so its a pretty sweet setup all things considered

I was thinking about these things recently. This is a much calmer life than I'm used to by far. It's a relief, in many ways, to be able to have a quiet life. But I suppose it seems a bit dull sometimes.

I've never quite known what to do with the "just kind of existing" variety of lifestyle, really. Getting used to it around here was certainly a change of pace.

You could say that. The opportunity was there, certainly, but if you'd asked me at the time I never would've considered it a viable option — too much sitting around. Not enough adventure.

It was really hard to adapt at first. I had a lot of issues settling in. It didn't help that there were people here who I'd had issues with in the past. Most people don't seem to have much trouble getting used to life here, no matter how chaotic their world was back home.

There are a lot of days where I really don't know what to do with myself. It gets frustrating sometimes because it feels like I should be doing more, but there's really nothing I can do. That's not to say I don't like it here; this place is much nicer than it was back home and I'm glad to be here. It can just be kind of frustrating sometimes.

It's sort of boring, I guess, but at least the people here are pretty interesting. Work is interesting, too, I'd never done that before and actually doing something is doing a lot of good.

...And even when it's not, it's still earning money, so there's that.

I don't think this place is boring at all! But back home it's not boring either...Actually, this place is kindof a lot like home, but a lot different at the same time. Like how there's monsters and stuff here, there are monsters and stuff back home too. Not Pokemon or anything, but still.

Unfortunately, I was in the middle of something far more exciting before I arrived here... though, this is a bit of a difficult question when it came to daily life before then. I'd say this is... different, but it's hard to describe how.

That's all kind of relative, isn't it? If you're in a war-zone, then you're in place where a lot of stuff is going on... But if you're from that same place, but in a country at peace, then it could be boring.

At the time I was brought here, I was in a living hell. Metaphorically speaking.

It's funny you should mention burning peoples faces off, because that's what I went through just before coming here the second time.

Of course it's relative. All questions like that are relative and anyone who tries to say they're not is full of it. That's why I said "somewhere" - trying to ask something like that about an entire world is really dumb.
