So do you guys ever still think about how bizarre this place is, or do you pretty much just get used to it after a while? It's weird as hell, the stuff you just start accepting after a while – you don't even think about how most of us came from a place where cats don't hatch out of eggs.

(...I say "most" because some jerk out there's going to pop up and prove me wrong, you just watch. Even if you also hatch your damn cats, I'm pretty sure there's something here that's out of the ordinary.)

I don't know if there's much point to this, but there's not much point to anything that goes on around here, anyway. I don't know, even if this place is better than whatever's going on back home, sometimes you miss being useful, too. Another thing to get used to, I guess.

...No, really, I am getting sick of the kittens-from-eggs thing. I'm going to have more cats than I do Swablus at this rate.

Yeah, we're all kind of aware that we're probably going to have to beat down on someone close to us one day. Me too, sort of. It's just how this whole thing is going to work.

I think they enjoy it too much to stop. It's like the stray cats in my neighborhood. But I don't think you can get them fixed like stray cats.

[She's been lucky that she has mostly female Pokémon.]

It's really unfortunate. I don't really know what that's like. I never had to fight anyone I was close to.

With good reason, though. I mean, I don't know about you but I don't want to try to get a cat fixed if it can also punch holes through my brain with its ears.

It's my dad, in my case. If it's not necessary I'm not going to go out of my way to kick his ass, and I'm not going to say that I think he'd kill me or anything because I don't think he would.

It's kind of like what we've talked about before, I guess. It sucks, but you've got to do it anyway so there's no feeling bad about it.

Well, they've apparently got a lot of power under there and their type specializes in punching things in the mind, so it's not like I want to test it.

It's awful to have to turn against your own family like that. I know what you mean though. You've got a job to carry out and it's unfortunate, but sometimes you've got to prioritize doing that over your family.

Yeah, exactly. I'll be fine either way, though, so don't do anything stupid like worrying about me, okay?

It's kind of hard to stop worrying, you know...

I asked my Meowstic about it, and she promised me that she wouldn't do that. Though apparently she has a few people in mind that'd she wants to do that to.

...In other words, never piss you off. Got it.

But yeah, with that sort of thing in mind it makes sense to just let 'em breed. It's just kind of annoying to deal with, but apparently some people make decent money off of it. I'm not a breeder so I won't get that many in one go unless the whole lot feels really ambitious.

You make a practice out of worrying about people more than they worry about themselves?

It's not me you have to worry about. Nanako is just overprotective of me. She doesn't seem to like boys too much.

They take a while to hatch, right? You could always just set them aside and sell a whole bunch at once!

And last I checked, Nanako and I should get on fine if it's the boys she doesn't like; if anything, she's got a good amount of sense.

She said it's supposed to work, but it's like you need to be extremely careful with it. Apparently someone else tried it with a bunch of other people.

My world is pretty weird, compared to this place.

There's plenty of people who love cats here! They should go pretty fast if they have strong parents~

Nanako says she likes people like you! She would not mind helping you defeat all of them. Though that's a bit extreme...
