I'm not really the sort for philosophical things, or romantic things, and I think I've told at least one person that I'm not good at Zen stuff, either. But once in a while something happens and it just sort of makes you think about the sort of stuff you wouldn't normally, I guess.

Do you ever think that we were brought here to meet someone specific? To maybe have an experience that we wouldn't have back home, and even if we won't remember it, for a little while we'll turn out better for it.

Or something.

Maybe it's just the season making me all nostalgic or something, who knows. It's a stupid question anyway. But it's something that I've been wondering about once in a while.

No one seems to know why the hell we're here anyway; that sounds as good as anything else.

Yes, it wasn't often that cats and dogs would rain from the sky back in Japan.

It wasn't often they rained from the sky in the games, either, unless they came out with a version I haven't heard of.

As far as I know, they didn't. There seems to be a point where the events that occur here don't follow those of the game at all. Kanto I am familiar with, but I'd never heard of a region called Johto before coming here, much less the vast majority of Pokemon that exist.

...Then you have instances of Pokemon raining from the sky, which makes the least sense of most anything that I've experienced here so far.

What makes the least sense as far as I'm concerned is what happened at the end of last month. It happened six months ago, too - just for a weekend, for no real reason. I don't know if you were there for that or not.

Raining animals was bizarre too, though. At least the near-apocalypse made sense because that's pretty much what'll happen when you have humans and gods you can shove in a ball living in the same space.

I was here for that, yes. It was my first time experiencing it...I didn't know it happened regularly.

In all honesty, the gods showing up was a bit more normal as far as Pokemon are concerned. It isn't often you'll play any game all the way through without running into at least one legendary.

I thought so. It's been a while since I've played the game, though, and I never finished it. At the same time...well, you said you're from Japan. You know how it is, something happens and Pikachus are everywhere.

I understand. Pikachu became quite the mascot for one reason or another, and that's why we got Yellow in addition to Red and Blue.

It makes me wonder if my arriving with a Pikachu myself was just a coincidence or if this world did plan for that to happen.
