I'm not really the sort for philosophical things, or romantic things, and I think I've told at least one person that I'm not good at Zen stuff, either. But once in a while something happens and it just sort of makes you think about the sort of stuff you wouldn't normally, I guess.

Do you ever think that we were brought here to meet someone specific? To maybe have an experience that we wouldn't have back home, and even if we won't remember it, for a little while we'll turn out better for it.

Or something.

Maybe it's just the season making me all nostalgic or something, who knows. It's a stupid question anyway. But it's something that I've been wondering about once in a while.

No one seems to know why the hell we're here anyway; that sounds as good as anything else.

I guess that's one of life's mysteries, isn't it? None of us know why we're here specifically, so maybe we all have a specific reason and it's not just "because".

It's possible that it's just "because," too, but at the same time that's not really a productive way of looking at it, is it?

...If we hadn't been, though, the world might have ended a couple of months ago. Or at least a lot of it would have gone straight to shit. So there's that.

...I guess we're heroes for saving this region then. We really are here for a reason, I suppose.

...Maybe we'll learn something soon. There's been a lot of change around here lately.

There really has been - I've been here since April, and this is the first time I've seen that so much has happened in one go.

Apparently we got lucky and got here when everything was changing. I've been here since August, and it never stopped being weird.

First there were raining animals, and then there were those evil teams. What's next?

Well, at least it's not like it can get much stranger than what we've already seen.

I could do without my friends and powers disappearing by the end of it though.

Lucky for you that your friends showed up in the first place, though - assuming they were actually friends and not just "friends," that is.

But the powers...I understand that.

It was just one friend, and I barely got to talk to her before she disappeared...

You do, huh? You have powers too?

It's more like I have things that don't like working here, but it's close enough.

What sort of powers are you missing out on here?

They're just general things. Moving faster, jumping higher, better combat abilities, breathing fire...

It's all that Pokemon god's fault probably.

Maybe, but I wouldn't talk too much shit about it if I were you. It did save our asses and all.

I know, but it would be nice if we could keep them. Apparently the only ones that can have powers in this world are the Pokemon.

...It's a defensive tactic. Used as a last resort.

Well, I'd think so, since it's basically fire coming out of your face.

Though that's a point about the powers, isn't it - it wouldn't surprise me if that's the god's doing, when put like that.

It's good at surprising people, but it always hurts my throat after so I don't use it a lot.

At least I can complain about it without being turned into a Pokemon or something.

Well, some of them might be pretty cool, actually. I think it depends on what sort of species you end up as.

I'd probably end up as a Magikarp.

Or maybe a Murkrow.

There's nothing wrong with Murkrows. It'd be nice to have flight, anyway.

I guess. It would be easier to get from place to place, but Murkrows always like to steal your stuff.
