Leave a message and I'll get right back to you! Ah, but be quick about it - after all, there's probably a good reason why I'm not around right now!
[Please state in the subject line if OOC planning is preferred and we can handwave like the wind, but otherwise IC will be assumed!]

She kind of stares for a moment, because that's a lot of flowers and those are chocolates and oh, wow, this is really cute, actually.
She'll accept them, though, and kind of turn back toward the room because she probably ought to find somewhere to set the flowers down at least; she'll find somewhere eventually, though, just give her a minute, and it's not like she's not going to be talking while she does it.]
Princess, you are the reigning authority on chocolate, I'm sure they're going to be great just because you wouldn't accept otherwise.
[It's teasing, though, light; just...let her set the roses down and she will proceed to get the bag open because holy shit, did you really expect her to wait.]
Thanks, though, this is great - did you just learn how to make these...?
[Some of these are sorta burnt but you know what, that's not...too bad all things considered.]
no subject
You'd be really surprised, actually! I botched so many of them, it's almost a miracle that these came out alright...I basically taught myself, though! I never really did anything like this before! Every time I tried to bake cakes or brownies or something back at home, I nearly burned the place down. Elsa'll tell you, she could probably smell it all the way from her room...the only thing I ever really knew how to make for myself was sandwiches, and even those, I messed up sometimes!
[ That's...promising. At least they didn't end up on the ceiling? ]
And I was kinda thinking about getting store-bought ones, but I figured that doesn't have the heart in it. I wanted to make them special for you. I couldn't really do anything fancy like they have in the bakeries, I know that they do them with the cute little hearts and everything? But, for my first time trying, I thought they came out pretty good...well, I'll just have to do it a little better next time, right?

I wasn't really one for making anything on my own back home - never really had much reason to.
[And it's entirely possible Anna didn't have much reason to either, given...you know, servants and everything, but still.]
But here - I didn't have any more money than anybody else starting out here, and I had to make some somehow, so I guess I learned pretty quick.
Maybe I could teach you a few things sometimes; baking stuff's pretty easy, it's just getting the patience for it, but I can make some pretty stuff if you ever want to learn how.
[That said, chocolate is going in her face, if no one minds- ]
...Not like I think you'll need much help, if this is what you do with trial-and-error, this is really good...

Gotta be able to afford all of those awesome clothes somehow, I guess. It makes sense, though, for some reason, I kinda have a hard time imagining that with everything going on and all, you'd have time to make sweets in front of a stove...
[ Since, y'know. It seems like a mess, frankly. ]
But I'd like that a lot, actually. If it's something you're passionate about, well, I'd love to learn about it, you know? And I've seen the stuff you make at work, it's gorgeous...
[ Not to mention, it tastes as good as it looks, so, really, just more points on the hotness scale in her favo--I mean what ]
Do you really mean it, though?! Oh, thank God...that was, like, batch number 17...
[ Hardcore trial and error. ]

Not too bad - you should've seen me suck the first bunch of times I tried. It's a process, I guess, and I don't usually have a lot of patience.
I like this sort of thing, though, there's something kinda nice about making stuff with your hands. You know? You can actually see stuff getting done.
no subject
Could've fooled me. And here I thought you had, like, the patience of a saint...
[ have you seen your starter ]
It was pretty relaxing, when I wasn't getting frustrated at how much I overcooked them, or undercooked them, or put in too much sugar. My poor Pokemon had to eat all the leftovers...
[ Not the worst job in the world, to be fair. ]
But I know what you mean for sure. It feels like you're putting your heart and soul into it! Like, if I had just got you something from a store or something, it wouldn't be anywhere near as special, you know? And it gives you a bit more of an appreciation for everything that goes into it.
So now I know how to make you two things, food-wise! Chocolate and sandwiches. Maybe if I'm feeling extra ambitious, you'll get chocolate sandwiches, but, that's an experiment for another day.

[NONON, FOR GOD'S SAKE.]
But yeah, my patience only goes so far back home; it's really only here that I've started kind of slowing down a bit? But when you've got all the time in the world, making stuff is a pretty good way to spend it. It kept me from going stir-crazy for a while, anyway - Violet City is a sinkhole, I spent practically forever there, but that's where I learned how to do a lot of stuff.
I really do appreciate the chocolate, though, Princess, it's great.
[...]
...I mean, now I'm not really sure if I'm supposed to give you something today or for White Day, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
[this human disaster, anna]

[ Must be a Japanese thing, because she's never heard of it before... ]
You're not the first person I've heard that from, about Violet...I was there for a while, too! But that's just because it was pretty nice in that area and I figured I'd stick around to see everything...man, come to think of it though, there hasn't been a place I've been to yet that I don't like. Maybe Azalea? Even there, though, it's really nice, it's just kinda woodsy!
I'm really happy you like it, though...
[ Hope you don't mind getting a huge hug, because that's exactly what you're getting! ...But wait... ]
...What the heck is White Day?
[ it's fine but what is this and why has she never heard of it ]
no subject
Oh, that. It's a thing we do in Japan? Basically the girls give the guys they like chocolate on Valentine's, and a month later we have White Day where the guys give the girls stuff.
It's pretty great to capitalize on if you're the sort of person to do that, because the guys are supposed to give you something worth three times what you gave them; you can get lots of candy that way if you have a lot of guy friends, and I made sure to have a lot of guy friends.
[...Holy shit, Nonon, really.]
no subject
Three times back...so it's like, you're making an investment?
[ Strange way to think about a day that's supposed to be super-romantic, but still, all that candy though, she can't even blame her...even if she only had 5 guy friends, and she gave them one piece of candy each, that's 15 pieces of candy-- ]
That's crazy...but like, do you go on dates and stuff still? Or is it just a day where you get your candy back?
[ It doesn't sound particularly like a holiday for couples like Christmas Eve. ]
Either way, that's genius.
no subject
White Day happens a month later because it gives the guys time to think about it and how they want to respond to it - if they give you something that's more obligation-ish then that's a sign they're not into you, if they give you nice stuff they are and maybe they want to date. If you gave them nice stuff and they give you obligation stuff, that's a way for them to be nice about letting you down and lets you both save face. Or something.
...I mean, either way you get candy so you don't really lose here.
[...She has this down to an art form.]
Either way, though - yeah, you can go on dates and stuff on Valentine's, why not. Especially if you're already with somebody and it's not a whole love-confession thing.
no subject
[ The anticipation sounds like a lot to go through, and giving good stuff just to get cheap stuff a month later sounds like...well, a total let-down, even if you are getting 3 times as much. And the whole thing just seems so formal...the way she describes it, it sounds like she's made it into, like, a business. You put in a deposit and get a return with interest... ]
I mean, where I come from, it's mostly like a mutual thing. But to be honest, I've never actually, y'know, seen it celebrated anywhere but here? Blame it on me being super-sheltered, but I've only read about it in books and things like that...just a day where you pamper the person you're in love with, basically! So like a date night, but, you know, a super date.
no subject
That said, though - ]
So I'm guessing we're going on a super date, then?
[ANNA WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE]
no subject
Well, duh, I thought that'd be obvious! I mean, I wanted to keep it open to do whatever you wanted, but, obviously, that's what we're doing! I'm pampering you today, so for now, I get to call you Princess.
